I finally got a drum carder which is much faster and easier.

I felted some carded 2nds which is draped over Abe here. I'd sorta like to get some hat forms but that can wait.

Well Now

I haven't done much with this blog but I have done a bit of spinning and so forth. I really should take some more pictures and post them.

I can say this, homegrown raw alpaca is very, very nice. Being able to sort through the stuff has allowed me to card to finest, longest, softest stuff and the results are just nice nice nice. Now if I could card and spin more consistently if might be even nicer. At this point I used hand carders which was tedious. I'd really like to get a drum carder. Spinning is actually pretty quick.
